SENATOR KELLY SEYARTO
DISTRICT 32
Senator Kelly Seyarto was elected to the 32nd Senate District in 2022. He previously served in the State Assembly, elected to represent the 67th Assembly District in 2020.
Senator Seyarto is a native Southern Californian who was born in the City of La Puente, and raised in the cities of Baldwin Park and La Verne. After graduating from High School, he took an interest in firefighting and started his career as a Paid Reserve Firefighter in La Verne. He was later hired by the Inglewood Fire Department as a Firefighter/Paramedic and was a Captain when fire services in Inglewood were contracted out to the Los Angeles County Fire Department in 2000. He retired in 2015 at the rank of Battalion Chief after a 35 year career.
After moving their family to the newly incorporated City of Murrieta in 1991, Senator Seyarto became involved in local politics, first serving as a Public Safety Commissioner before being elected to the City Council in 1997. While a member of the City Council, he served on numerous regional Boards and Commissions, also serving 4 terms as Mayor of the City of Murrieta.
