SACRAMENTO – California Republican Party Chairwoman Jessica Millan Patterson released the following statement in response to President Joe Biden’s just-announced trip to the Bay Area later this month:

“No city better embodies the devastating consequences of Democrat leadership than San Francisco, and President Biden should make some time on his Bay Area swing to observe this sad reality for himself. He should view the countless storefronts that have closed as criminals run rampant due to soft-on-crime policies. He should walk the streets to view the fentanyl crisis taking more than 100 Californians’ lives every week as Democrats fail to hold drug dealers accountable. He should take note of the many ‘for sale’ signs on homes around the city as longtime residents continue to move away to more affordable states. Reckless actions have heartbreaking consequences, but Joe Biden and California Democrats would rather double down on their failures than learn from them.”
