“National School Choice Week should remind Californians that – now more than ever – every child deserves the right to an education that best fits their unique learning needs. For a second straight year, California school children’s test scores declined as students continue to struggle in the aftermath of Democrats closing schools longer than any other state. Governor Gavin Newsom, Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond, California Democrats, and radical teachers’ unions have catastrophically failed our children. California Republicans will work relentlessly on behalf of parents, families, and students to always fight for school choice.”
