CAGOP Statement on Biden’s San Francisco Fundraiser
SACRAMENTO — Today, California Republican Party Chairwoman Jessica Millan Patterson released the following statement on President Joe Biden’s San Francisco fundraiser with Vice President Kamala Harris and California Governor Gavin Newsom:
“Even in deep blue California, recent polling reinforces that President Biden is in big trouble in 2024. Oh, to be a fly on the wall at tonight’s California fundraiser as Vice President Harris and Governor Newsom salivate over the opportunity to take Biden’s place at the top of the ticket. Unfortunately for all three, thanks to their destructive policies, they have each had a heavy hand in the deterioration of this evening’s host city, which today faces rampant crime, open-air drug markets, a homeless crisis and shuttering businesses. To see why none of them belong in the White House, look no further than San Francisco.”
A Berkeley IGS poll out last week found:
- A majority of California voters (52%) disapprove of President Biden’s job performance, including a majority of:
- No Party Preference voters (55%)
- Moderate voters (53%)
- Voters from several regions with targeted races up and down the ticket, including:
- Central Valley (60%)
- Inland Empire (62%)
- Women voters (50%)
- Voters in every age group from 18-65 years old
- Latino voters (55%)
- Asian/Pacific Islander voters (50%)
- San Diego County (55%)
- Orange County (61%)
- Central Valley (60%)
- On a host of major issues, voters are rejecting Biden’s efforts on:
